Cheers for that Dave.....If you find anything that improves performance I'll be watching this space with interest.

I have all my tweeks on wordpad!!

Also all my keyboard and joystick settings!!

I delete the FS9.cfg if I have any problems at all!!

Redo the tweeks, copy/paste the settings and am flying
in about 3/4 minutes!!

Cloud and visibility settings seem to be the big prefomance
issues!!

Back ground processes are the big killer!!

Background processes are only an issue if the PC can't cope. I would think most peoples PC's are a reasonable spec so all this "close everything down" lark doesn't wash with me.

Sorry but thats my opinion.

Another consequence of deleting the FS9.cfg file and starting again (if you have an old graphics card setting that is) is better visual quality. I had changed my graphics card last year from a low spec ATI to a better Nvidia but forgot to change the config file. On some aircraft I could see the airfix join along the top of the fuse - now I can't! Much better (I also got faster framerates too).

Regards,
Chris
