DH-9 underway at SimOuthouse

Post by FlyTexas »

Chris Herring has begun construction of a lovely DH-9. WIP pics can be seen at SimOuthouse. Here's a link for members. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/s ... hp?t=48043

Best if published links were not for member areas.

Brian did indicate that it was a link for members. The threads are still readable without membership, just the pictures won't display; I believe it is the same of this here, iirc?

Signing up at the Outhouse is no more onerous than signing up here, which you have to do if you want to post. Much like the people here, they are a welcoming and knowledgeable bunch of gentlemen, even if they are strangely interested in non-British subjects sometimes! And they have their good points as well; a little gentle suggestion got Chris Herring working on this DH.9 and Rick's Meteor is still their most downloaded file.

Andy....you are confusing the issue

As a Mod I am asking the pics in posts be visible to all including those that for whatever reason are not members of other sites.

It would be nice to have screenshots posted for those that can't see them in these links.

There is no reason why anyone should have to join unless they want to post

I get trouble trying to join sites as if there is an activation email I rarely get it :dunno: ....something to do with netscape.....and no..... why should I change my email.

I know it was stated that it was members only but if there is something to see then lets all see it.

A while ago the was a link to Alphasim and talk of pictures I could not see.

I tried to join but couldn't. :curse:

It's not about how easy it is to join a site but the value of putting in a link invisible to a lot of members.

I have PM'd Chris, to ask his permission to show the screenshots over here. If he agrees I will post them in this thread later.

Hi Andy,

Just for note, non members can see images over here.

To the best of my knowledge this is a problem with VBulletin (the Outhouse forum software) as it sees embedded images as attachments. and with most forums where file attachments can be made, the mods of that forum will generally only make them available to registered users.
