Re: Brabazon released on avsim etc.
Many thanks, yet again Jens.
Stately progression is the nature of this magnificent beast. Or have you managed to fix the Brabazon and make the fsim globe rotate under it?
I can't remember if the last remaining section of the Brabazon fuselage is still on the wall at Old Warden. I remember that the section of hangar where it had been has been re-configured as a shop by Shuttleworth when I visited in August, but don't remember looking up at the wall.
Looking forward to the Singapore and Comet 1, the commercial British classics would be much thinner on the ground without the JBK stable.

Re: Brabazon released on avsim etc.
Jens, thanks for this magnificently elegant beauty! This "baby" is a joy to fly and suprisingly maneuverable on the ground. Looks like I better tinker with my default Filton AFCAD to add a parking spot for her. It had better be a rather large spot too, carefully placed so those huge wings don't get shorn off by the buildings when I am taxiing and not paying full attention.

I'm planning one myself, just wait a few days ;-) . And what about PanAm, or American Overseas ?calypsos wrote:Thanks Jens, I'll get it as soon as I can...... .anybody want to do a BOAC (fictional) scheme?????????

RIP Steve Irwin You was the best there ever was.

Jens,
You may well live to regret this line of thinking!!!
Earls Court would have been twice the size if QANTAS had got hold of a couple of these if we're into might-have-beens.

Re: Brabazon released on avsim etc.
In the 1950's it was usual for prototypes (The Brit for example) to be painted up in airline colours, often on a second appearance at Farnborough. I am guessing the poor old Brab did not make a second appearance

I've always fancied having Britain's inter-war flying boats in MSFS, and maybe follow some of the old empire routes; Singapore to Penang for instance, or Calcutta to Colombo...that sort of thing.
Terrific work, Jens, very much looking forward to your future creations.
