I see the same thing, but I could give a rat's @$$ about it - I LOVE THIS THING!!! :partyman: :drinkers:

I don't know if it's different in FSX, but the startup and shutdown in FS9 seem a little too quick for such a huge set of cabbage choppers, so I set about to find a bit less "snappiness." I added one line and adjusted two others as follows, and I'm quite happy with the results:
[fltsim.x]
prop_anim_ratio=0.5

[piston_engine]
normalized_starter_torque = 0.0065

[propeller]
propeller_moi = 250.0
If you reduce the starter torque any further, you'll have to start the engines manually with the M > +++ method. The Sim just won't hold the starters engaged long enough.

One question... I landed with 20% fuel and touched down at only 67 KIAS with the nose a few degrees up. This seems a little slow to me, but then again, the wing area could be given in acres, not sq. feet. Any thoughts? :dunno:

Does that long series include the Sunderland perchance? :worried: :prayer:

I have been searching long and hard for a late model FS2004 or FSX ready version with no luck. :'(

It's worse than trying to find the proverbial rocking horse poop!

I first fell in love with the 'Flying Porcupine' as a small child when I went on a tour of one while on holiday in South Wales. It was a museum piece in Pembroke Dock at the time but I doubt it's still there now as this would have been in the late 60's. I also had an Airfix model of one that hung from my bedroom ceiling along with 30-40 buddies too! ;-)

I'm FS.9 :)

The pilots are not untextured really, but I left out the texture files in the upload by mistake :-(

The mising files are pilots.bmp and pilot_face.bmp

If you have one of my other models, like the DC-4 or the Canadair Argonaut, you can just copy the two files from there into your Brabazon texture folder.

Best regards

Jens
