Did anyone notice that Icarus have released a payware Dragon Rapide for FSX?
From the screenies posted at Sim-outhouse, it don't look any better than DG's,
makes me wonder why payware developers persist when there's already very good freeware about.

Re: Rapide
Dave's Rapide was my first FsX add-on!
Some of those screenshots at the SOH will have been mine. I am very supportive of Icarus' FsX models as they are promising to build a Grumman Duck, a Lysander and a Fiesler Storch amongst others, aircraft that we are very unlikely to see modeled in FsX.

Re: Rapide
I too fly DG's Rapide and very nice it is too.
I looked at the Payware Rapide with interest as some payware aircraft are very good.
The cockpit does look quite slick and detailed.
Perhaps someone can post a comparison review between DG's and the Payware.
On the subject of freeware versus payware. Although I love freeware some payware aircraft are raising the bar and producing very nice aircraft.
I guess it all comes down to time. Payware companies can employ more manpower than freeware developers will ever have.
I enjoy many freeware and avoid many payware aircraft that are not up to standard.
More power to all you freeware developers. I just wish I had the time and talent to have a crack myself.

Hi Guy's..
I'm locking this thread as there's another running parallel down in Payware ;-)
