Emerald 748

Post by Vulcan_to_the_Sky! »

This might have been mentioned - but since I have been away from the Forum for a while, I apologize if its been brought up before but,

The other day I was sat outside work on Lunch - There is a direct flightpath to Blackpool Airport that goes overhead, and a 748 whizzed over low level - presumably on its way to landing. It looked like it was one of the emerald ones, are these flying again under a different company but in the same paint scheme?

Hi,

Didn't know Janes had bought some - thanks for that info.

It wasn't in that livery though, it was definatly a emerald livery. Odd to see one flying about round here, first one I've seen flying in a while.

They have been slowly sold on so perhaps there was one airtesting before a paint, if indeed any new customer would wish the cost of a repaint

Garry,

That could be it. In any case it was nice to see a 748 flying again, has always been one of my favorite planes.

Too True.

At least we can always fly it in Flightsim thanks to Rick and the team.

Chris,

Didn't know that - surprising really, thought Duxford or Cosford might have had one at the very least...
