HS748

Post by Ant1981 »

I downloaded this beauty a few days ago and I must say I am loving it.

I really love the liveries also, especially the RAE and Queens Flight ones. She returns to Benson ;)

It's lovely and kinda quirky too, had a few engine failures, maybe due to overheating, it's easy to take your eye off the engine temps.

Beauty of an aircraft.
I like this flight simming, it's fun.....

Hi Ant :)

The 748 is a favourite of many virtual pilots mate. You might also like to try the 780 for those military excursions ;)

Hi Dave,

Think I did a long time ago and had engine overheat problem, some bug I have with getting some FS9 craft to work with FSX. But this has good military liveries.

Hi Ant :)

Well.. both the 748 and 780 will overheat (at least the engines will) if you thrape the old girl at too high an RPM.. no longer than 5mins at full throttle. Likewise, you can freeze 'em up if you don't take the necessary precautions :) Make too heavy a landing and you'll trip the generators. All in all, a nice little mix you keep the pilot occupied :)

No I mean that one engine always stayed on over heat on the 780 with FSX, even at idle. I remember reading somewhere that I wasn't the only one who had this issue.

Ahh, I see

As far as I'm aware, that particular issue was never resolved.. there being no obvious reason why it happened on some systems and not on others *-) Never known it in FS9 though which is one reason I prefer to stay with the older sim.. all my stuff works! :)
