HS 748 updated panel problems

Post by sayrowl »

Hello
It's not the first time I visit your nice forum but it's the first time I post a message....
I'm french so my apologies for english mistakes ;)

I love flying with BAC 1-11 and HS748, amazing aircraft!!!
I've flown with HS748 version 1 for months. But I decided to download the updated version of HS748 panel for FS9 (HS748V6_FS9.zip) and i've some problems:

When I shut down engines, when there is no more power, there 's still a noisy background like air conditionning or something else. It is normal??
The door unsafe warning does not come on when you open a door, is it a gauge problem?

Thank you in advance for your reply!

Hi and Welcome :hello:

I don't have FS9 on this pc and don't use it very often.. just for beta testing. I'll take a look at the 748 when I get a chance to see if I hear this too.. this and the door warning lamp. In the meantime.. let's hope Fraser will pop in to fill in the gaps ;)

APU?

I have fs9 and the 748
I'll get it going after supper
:)

Edit
ok I have the same symptoms ...
guess it's the ground power stuck on.... flip the switch and it keeps running

The 748 doesn't have an APU

A thought occurred to me lying in bed this morning (funny the things you think of!!).. might it not be inverter sound associated with ground power as Ben has suggested? I remember getting this with a few models even if the aircraft was 'cold' *-) The more I think about it.. the more I'm convinced that's what it is :cpu:

As an aside to this thread, I just wondered if anyone knows if there are any airworthy 748s remaining anywhere? According to Wikipedia there's a preserved series 1 type preseserved at Liverpool's Speke Airport but I assume it's not fly able. *-) EricT

They must be few and far between now Eric. Is the one at Liverpool one of the ex-Emerald fleet that got grounded?
