Re: New Forum Server
Hi Chaps, I might do a dummy run on this migration tonight. If you find when you log in the forum is disabled or other oddities, don't worry, it will just be me.
Ben.

Okay Ben. Looking forward to seeing it all.TSR2 wrote:Hi Paul,
Truthfully.... I've no idea. I've never used the latest flavour of it. There will be a lot of nuances that we'll all have to experience together

Well chaps, I'm glad I've tried a few dry runs... what a pain in the arse. I haven't managed to successfully upgrade it yet! We're still here on the old one and I'll open a few support tickets at phpBB. As you were chaps, as you were.
Ben.

OK chaps, learning curve begins for all of us. The Forum is in, but there will undoubtedly be issues over the coming days and weeks, please be patient. I haven't moved the library area over yet, that will be for another day. If there's something you're unsure about, please check the FAQ's, as there will likely be an answer in there that I am unaware of at the present time.

Re: New Forum Server
Everything seems to be working just fine Ben, I even have, what was for me, the long gone 'add image' button in PM replies functioning now.
Can't imagine how long all this took you but grateful thanks that you have persevered and got it all sorted, not that technically minded myself on these matters but I know these things can be more involved than most of us would be aware of.
Well done mate.
