My thoughts are with his family as it must be especially hard.
I know exactly how they are feeling :((

My wife died 5 months ago tomorrow. I think of her every minute of every day.

Sorry to hear of your loss George. I cannot imagine your pain. I nearly lost my wife 6 years ago to a major stroke, Dave was very supportive to me then, so I thought I was going to lose her and that was bad enough. I always find at times like this getting the photos out and remembering the good times can be therapeutic. There are lots of good people on this forum, who probably give better advice than me and are always ready to listen.

Sorry to hear of your own bad news George. I know what it's like having lost my dear wife 11 years ago last April.

Everyone tells you will get over it - unfortunately nobody can tell you when. I think they were telling porkies. All you do is learn to cope.

Joan's ashes are in the Columbarium at the East Riding Crematorium just the other side of the road to Eddsfield. I go every week with flowers and give her all the latest news.

I'm sorry to hijack this thread, I have many great memories of Dave.

I agree Graham, I will never forget her. I talk to Jen all of the time, a bit like Jack in New Tricks.

I don't deem it a hijack George, but sharing sadness.

As I tell people - we can't take away the pain, but we can share your sadness.
