Dark VC

Post by gypsymoth »

I have Rick Piper's beautiful Jet Provost but find the VC is very dark. There was a FX file = fx_vclight_Provost.fx which I put into the FS9 effects folder with the others, but the VC remained dark. I put a copy into the panel folder but the VC still remains dark.

The only way to really get a 'seeable' VC is to have the sun coming from behind, which isn't always possible. Is there a fix for this 'problem. ?

I tried this link - http://www.btinternet.com/~rick.piper/ - in the read me but it doesn't work.
Thanks.

The FS9/effects folder is the correct place for the .fx file.
Not sure why your vc is dark though. *-) It's been a long, long time since I used FS9, but I've used the Provost in FSX and P3d a few times and never noticed any problem.

Thanks - I'll recheck that file.
