Weather - FS9
Yes I know, I know... I'm feeling all nostalgic. What are those of you who are FS9 users doing for real world weather?
Ben.
Re: Weather - FS9
Hi Ben. Haven't used it for a few weeks while I try to get it onto the new pc but I recall that there is an option in weather settings to d\l real world weather from Jeppensen in the current session which then updates every 15 minutes. Hope that helps.
I can check on the old pc tomorrow. Best wishes EricT

Re: Weather - FS9
Cheers Eric,
I thought the default weather engines in both FS9 and FSX had in effect been redundant for years, in that they didn't actually download real weather. Is there an Active Sky or equivalent product still available for FS9?

fsmetar works better with fsuipc interface, youll have to edit the ini file to point it to the right servers to download as in this thread http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/s ... 04-FSMetar

Hi Ben,
FSGRW is a payware product that may give you more accurate results.
There is an in-depth review of it in Mutley's Hanger
http://www.mutleyshangar.com/reviews/np/fsgrw/fsgrw.htm
It works with fs9, FSX and p3d
