DM 1-11 icons in FSX menu

Post by Diyceejay »

Hi
Can anybody tell me how to make an icon appear in the FSX menu for DM's 1-11s?
At present I have just a silhouette of an aircraft overlaid with a large question mark for every 1-11 model I've downloaded.
With thanks
Christopher

You need a thumbnail.jpg in for the livery in the texture folders.

Make a screenshot of the aircraft, cut that screenshot down to the area you want to see, save the image as thumbnail.jpg, put the jpg file into the repaint's "texture.xyz" folder, done.

Alternatively search the sites for autothumbnail2.zip a tool that will do all that for you without all the pfaffing about. I presume it still works under W10.
Or - DM has small but usable pics of each aircraft on his website, just make sure they are individually renamed thumbnail.jpg when you d/l them.
