I Paul, the only video I can think of is the BEA Flight with the Trident but that is in colour, this may be the one you are thinking about! Comes in three parts.Wasn't there an old black and white about a fog bound flight across the Channel?

Good shout Nigel but alas I think I'm going back a bit further to the late fifties and I'm sure it was B&W. Also, more of a story than an information film...but might be wrong.
