I don't think it's so nefarious. Heritage liveries have been a thing in the US with both Airlines and Railroads for quite some time. I think the trend is just continuing to spread worldwide.

If you want to be cynical about it, consider that the real motivating factor for doing it is to ensure that the various protected marks and Intellectual Property related to those heritages are kept active and thus under the company's control.

Not sure I approve of all this nostalgia thing going on .... 'tis a sure sign that bad times are about to wallop us big time... Tell me I'm wrong. :help:
Alex, our local Canadian friend has been forecasting disaster in the Western financial system for over a year  ; I hope that you're both wrong.
I don't think that nostalgia ever goes out of circulation.

Nostalgia is not what it used to be.

Also looking forward to the BEA livery.

Has Mark Carney got a holiday home near you then?

Back on topic, I'm hoping to see the BEA red square A319 at ZRH this year!

Peter , Good to see you back ; hope you're well .
Agree on the BRITISH , and those dreadful tails .
Cambrian and Northeast , could be colourful ; and we must not forget Bcal .
The 319 looks good .
Passed thriough Denver recently , and spotted an American 320 series in full TWA livery . Very smart .
