Yes Nigel - I'm missing the iconic "Antler Horns" of the original too.

It also had dual throttle boxes mounted on the cockpit walls outboard of the pilots rather than the central one, but, hey, for those wonderful exteriors and the great v.c. textures it's a small price to pay.

Great that MJ has kept to his previous practice of making the panel external to the model. I have spent a couple of happy hours swapping the Constellation gauges for Brit ones. (hope that doesn't get me drummed out of the Brownies).

Just checked some other cockpits in the Beverley CMkI
There are variations; the OH panel is in the perspex, and there are no instruments on the wall behind co-pilot.
I was a bit miffed to see a container for "AIRPLANE" reports. I've never been inside a real one, but I don't think that the RAF would have written it so.

....and then Jan Kees, my all time favourite repainter (after Peter Watkins of course) comes up with XB 264- an aircraft which I flew in on 12/April/61 on an out and return flight from Abingdon to Waterbeach (2hrs 45mins flying time) -think we were carrying a disassembled AOP9.

I think with this level of excitement at my age its OK to lose a little bladder control ??

A new repaint available for download from Sim Outhouse. I can't imagine Garry would've approved of this.

Ahh Garry.. Garry was a real stickler about liveries.

He could become quite incensed about being asked to create fictitious liveries when fly net started

But as time went on he relented... cause he was a big softy.

 :((

Those engine nacelles, in all versions of this model, have been modelled so beautifully, I just want to reach out and touch them. :welldone:
