That's the bugger about UK hosts, their so bloody expensive. Is CBFS hosted or on server of it's own?

Yes Andy. The last downtime we had was to upload to our own server which, it has to be said, has been running pretty well from the word go

Its actually hosted on a virtual server by webfusion, the hosting arm of pipex.

We had planed to do something like this ourselves, hence all our extra bandwidth, but I'm very tied up in work at the moment. :brick:

Just a suggestion, but could the files be sorted bs simulator as well - (ie. FS2002 files are listed seperatly.)

Thanks;
That is something I have considered however with the imminent release of FSX i'm not to sure.

Will it be obsolete quite quickly.

If people want to see it I shall happily consider it again, the search function can narrow down files based on description though.

There is no reason why it should quickly become obselete

Many people are still running 2002 or earlier

FSX stuff may be compatable.

Some will run the new sim and the old one as well.

I think no matter what FSX becomes, FS.9 will be in great demand for a long time yet.

Hi Dave

The reason for all the FS98 stuff on FS.com is that Nels Anderson is replacing all the files that where lost from one of the backups.

I have no idea why he is bothering really as it is a waste of time as nobody is going to use them (not in numbers worth the effort).

But it's his site and he is entitled to do that

I e mailed them a few weeks back to ask why there was so much FS98 stuff popping up all of a sudden.

Regards
Rick
