Signature BMP's

Post by DaveB »

Hi Guy's,

I've noticed recently an increase in the size of some of your signature bmp's and having pulled up one chap, it would be unfair to let the rest continue to run riot!!

As a rule of thumb, can we try and restrict sig bmp's to no more than 600x100 (in that order.. eg, 600pixels wide by 100pixels deep).

You can actually get away with an avatar upto someting like 160x160 without causing any alteration in the way the page is displayed with phpBB. Of course for consideration of users on slow connections its courteous not to allow the file size too grow too big though

That's probably true Toby though I'd prefer if they were not quite that size. As was pointed out by Garry, it wasn't/isn't avatars I'm referring to but signature bmps/jpgs
