Rick, I don't know who you've been listening to, but the project manager flat out said that 2D panels would still be included in FSX in his interviews with both AVSIM and FlightSim.

Hi Chris

My past experience of leaked info by Project managers and the like is they talk a lot of twaddle.

I will believe it when i have FSX and i mean nothing bad with that statement

I have also read that but it's been contradicted in many other leaked snippets of information.

I'm more interested in when the new version of makemdl will be released as it takes me a while to adapt.

Regards
Rick

Hi Rick (et al)

I didn't explain properly in my first mail...when I meant there were no views in the 2D cockpit I meant that there were no VC views when looking to the side, back etc. ...I just saw the outside views. However I have reinstalled the updates and all is now functioning properly.....i.e VC views when looking sideways etc. in the 2D ccokpit.

I was in no way trying to suggest that I was displeased...just a bit confused.

I personally prefer VC cockpits to 2D..but there are times when I do use the 2D version.

Thanks anyway

Paul

Hi Clem

sounds to me like you don't have "See Self" function turned on in FS9.

As the views of the VC will only show from the 2d panel if the function is turned on (Off by default I think).

FS9.cfg

"Graphics" section
SEE_SELF=1

Hope this helps ?.

Rick

Hi Rick

Thanks for the reply.

As I said it's sorted now but I checked the see-self setting and it's now active.

Thanks again
