Yes Dave, but cannot make my mind up. It sounds Ok to me whilst flying, but not too sure about the shut down, which is why I was asking if Peter would try it - being as he is the Hunter "Fundi."
It is a long time since I heard one in the flesh.

Valiant Avons

Post by Patron7 »

I am not only interested in an Avon sound set for the Hunter, I also fly the AlphaSim Vickers Valiant B.K.1 - which had four of them. I keep hearing about ways to represent multiple engines from a single engine sound set. Does anyone know how to do this - or have another recommendation for Valiant Avon sound?

The other evening I downloaded an old FS2000 zip called cbrsnd.zip for a Canberra. I modified the sound cfg deleting every reference to No.2 engine before placing the contents of the zip in the Hunter 'sound' file.

This works and you can even start the Hunter's engine from the auxillary panel.

Or you could use the soundset included with the Hunter trainers...
