All being well I've set a provisional release date for Wessex (phase one) of Oct 7.

I also took a first look at FSX demo taking a 72 Sqn Wessex for a Carribean holiday..... wish I hadn't!

Frame rates were abismal! also the rotr textures so cleverly created by Rick have a very strange effect. while they are transparent over water and general scenery, they bcome opaque over FSX buildings.. strange eh?

Maybe it's only the demo.

I'll post a Caribbean holiday snap later

Hi Folks

Brian -
There's a new Flight Simulator X Trial Version, Build# 10.0.60905.0
so it's based on post-beta code, potentially I'd guess on final ?

Maybe give your Wessex a whirl in this latest version ?

There's still only 3 aircraft,
the Beaver has been removed & substituted with the R22.

If you already had the original demo,
before installing the new version
copy the Beaver & associated gauges to a temp folder,
then reinstate afterwards.

File Name: FSXDemo.exe
Version: 1.0
Date Published: 9/29/2006
Language: English
Download Size: 636.2 MB (size is wrong)

Actual downloaded file size is 798 MB, (837,058,560 bytes).

Flight Simulator X Trial Version

Cheers to George (Ananda) for spotting this.

So that's what happened to the Beaver. I installed the new demo yesterday but couldn't find the Beaver...thought I was losing my marbles. Too bad they didn't substitute the island scenery for a city such as the old default city of Chicago.

Hi Folks

Supposedly there are 5 A/C included -
Ultralight, Baron 58, CRJ 700, Lear 45, R22

Sorry for the incorrect info I'd posted previously.
I was only passing on availability info.

Due to IRL comitments
I'll not be able to install till Tues evening at the earliest.

PS
How does the cockpit night-lighting look ?

Hi Brain,
 Have download your Wessex, just one thing IT`S Bl**DY GREAT, Thank you, and what`s more it`s free, downloaded after a ten hour night shift had to fly her before getting some sleep, or I would have not been able to. Another great model from your self and Simshed. Once again THANK YOU.

Paul.
