Viscount 700 question

Post by flugkapitan »

Hi all,

I was wondering if I've missed an update for the Viscount 700 series? I've noticed when flying them (I just downloaded the package a couple of weeks ago) that part of the prop disc (near the fuselage) seems to be missing when viewed in spot view from certain angles. I remember this being a problem with the 800 series as well, but Rick had a fix for it. I've been on Rick's site and can't find any updates for the 700 that I don't already have.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Fraser, thanks for the wonderful updates of the Viscount panels!!! Looking forward to the VC9 update :-)

Regards,
Scott

Hiya Scott,

I can't recall an update for the 700's but recently downloaded it again from Classic British Files and I don't see that problem mate

Agree with you on the latest 700 panel (I must have missed the first one as I've been using one of the 800 versions for it! ). It's an absolute corker isn't it

I don't have that problem either

Maybe check out the updates on Classic British Files I don't know if they are more recent than Ricks site, but it won't hurt looking.

Dave.I don't think there was a 700 panel before...I never had it if there was.

I used to used an older version of the 810 panel to get a "less developed" feel

Made me feel better if the 700 panel looked older :k:

Hi Garry,

Ah hadn't noticed that....perhaps V4 is a general standard so that you know the each of the V4 is matched...if you follow

otherwise you be thinking V1 700 and V2 802 is the equivilent of V4 810 which would be a mess..or someting like that :k:

Fraser will come along now and say I'm talking B@ll@cks! :worried:

Hi Garry,

Yeh.. I follow that too. At least he knows that they were all released at the same time and are to the same standard. Cunning as a fox and twice as clever!

Thanks for the replies!

I'll have to try and post a screenshot later of what it is I'm seeing with the prop discs - only on the inner engines on the part of the disc that is near the fuselage. It looks as if a concave shaped portion of the disc is missing where the disc intersects the fuselage. I remember there was the same problem with the 800 series initially, but Rick posted a fix for it.

Where are the files on the CBFS site? I looked around but all I can find as far as files go are links the the various developers pages.

Scott

Hi Garry,

Thanks for the link! I found an update for the 700 there, but looking at it after the download, the dates on the files in the zip are the same as the update file on Rick's site.
