Short of being made to feel a bit stupid but reading the posts regarding performance and looking at Alexs' pics and frame rates, would these frame rates still be the same if say the Trident or BAC1-11 were shown as apposed to the Hunter, Spitefire etc.

Not really experienced in the techie side of FS but I know that from my experience different aircraft give different framerates depending on the graphic requirements of the model. Or do I shut up now? :-#

Nigel,

Tell you what - I'll load the Trident later and we'll see what happens. I'm all for experimenting. Give me a couple of hours and I'll report back.

Amo,

I don't see why it wouldn't work on your graphics card, I have a friend running the FX5500 and he is currently getting about 19FPS out of the box. I'm due to go round later and help him tweak it.

All I really did was start with the sliders at the default setting and moved them one at a time. I turned off the Anti Aliasing and forced that in the card.

Its the Deluxe version I am using, if you want a better talk through the settings I have then give me a PM as I'm sure its very machine specific and settings for one won't work on another.

More than happy to share my specs.

Intel Pentium 4, 3.2Ghz
1024Mb RAM
nVidia GeForce 6600 - AGP
Onboard Sound
XP SP2

Certainly nothing fancy with all these Core 2 Duo's floating about and high end graphics cards with SLI, Mammoth amounts of RAM and specialised Sound setups. Just a shop bought £500 jobbie!

Alex
Ah, so that's middle of the road! Mine's not too far off then!

I'd like to see the results flying around London
or NYC (or whatever your favorite addon scenery is)

flying VFR like most of us like to do
My point in the post I have made about FSX
is that we all know it takes sometime for ..........

ahhh crap I just don't have it in me anymore to argue

I'm not going to FSX and Vista and a new machine for a couple of years
I have other interest in life than chasing the latest and greatest
sim experience at the expence of my time (and lots of it) and money and a hell of a lot of that.
Best wishes to those who do.............

FS9 is working very well on the machine I have now
and I am content with that.

What a breath of fresh air that is

ummm thats what I meant........ to reason or influance by debate .. Mate
my intentetions where not to casue a "fight"
thats not productive for anyone.
I just can't give my time and money to a "game" that really doesn't do what it's ADVERTISED to do
Remember "As Real as it Get's"?/???
those are MS words , not the words of it's users HYping it up.

Now I grant you I am travelling the wrong way to you, however which looks more like Scotland?? The sky looks right, the land and sea do as well as the clouds..not like a cartoon looney tunes special?? Now I would buy FSX if it improved on FS2004, I just aint seeing it at the moment, are you  ??
