Wicked, wicked stuff Ian.

You and your team deserve all the praise you can get for this project.

As usual with AVSIM I end up looking at a 'Waiting for library.avsim.com' message for about 10 mins while my temper boils over.

AND it locks all my other windows while I'm waiting too. So frustrating....
Always right click and save the secondary link at the bottom of the page, this stops all the above

How seriously did I consider pulling a sickie today?

Hell why not! I was made redundant during the making of this ship! Go have some fun on her!

Finally managed to download The Ark with Firefox under Win2K.

To use an over-exposed Americanism, it's AWESOME! I went aboard her at a Navy Day back in the 70s and it's like being there. I can't find the 'Smell' slider though.........

I've flown all sorts of inappropriate stuff off that deck today, SHAR's, GR5s, a Pioneer (airborne before the island!) and even a visiting F-14.

I can see lots more fun on the horizon.....

Very well done, I'm most impressed.
Regards
Kit

Glad to see it's being enjoyed on it's first day out of dock, during my testing I had a blast with just a clean deck and making a whole bunch of AI for her.

Phantom, bucc and gannet, it was great to watch them all take off and land again.

I have tried (one ark is enough for me) her in the channel and have a couple of observations (NOT complaints)...........are the F4s a little too small?
My Simshed Wessex looked down on the Phantom on deck, I know this does not happen as the Wessex at Tangmere is parked very close to the Phantom!
Also, the water texture is very dark and in a large rectangle, is that default water? I have no idea what water mine is nowadays

On the plus side, great model and those catapult steam effects are great. Is there any AI planned?

Nostalgia time.

I took these shots on 25th Sept 1980 as the Ark Royal was being towed up to Scotland on her final voyage. By the time we had managed to get an aircraft she was quite a distance away and it was approaching sunset as we found her. The shots aren't brilliant because of the poor light and trying to photograph and fly at low level at the same time.

For those having problems with Avsim, she's available here too.

A brilliant download, thanks to those involved.
