HMS Ark Royal

Post by Seaking »

I'm glad to say she's ready, my apologies for the delay due to real life issues on my part.

I have just uploaded her to AVSIM, tried with flighsim but was not successful, some internal error, I've sent off an email to rick asking.

Don't have a confirmation email yet from avsim but it's still early this side of the pond.

I hope you enjoy her, comments are always welcome.

Well, I've downloaded it and now I've got to wait 10 hours before I can actually install and use it.

How seriously did I consider pulling a sickie today?

Grrrr.....

As usual with AVSIM I end up looking at a 'Waiting for library.avsim.com' message for about 10 mins while my temper boils over. :crying:

AND it locks all my other windows while I'm waiting too. So frustrating....

Strange as I did post a thumbnail with it last night,

Glad you like her , as I said in the readme so I wanted to put in here, I was only the project manager, the real wizards on this were the modeller Phillip Chandler and the texture guru Fraser Paterson, they are the heros of getting this model on the board.

For me it was just a dream to have my old ship in the sim, these guys made it all come true, can't thank them enough.

If you want to host is here please go ahead.

Thats great news! Shame I'm stuck at work now and won't be able to d/l it until 8 tonight. My uncle was on Ark till '78 in the engine room. Sadly he passed away some years ago, so I'll think of him while using it.
