Hello mate,

Yep and understood. Dunno why you bothered with Vista (other than you're Inspector Gadget's stuntman) as the newer incarnation is due out in 2years

Hi Matey

It's complicated why i went to Vista.

Basically i was led to believe that the Nvidia 8800GTX was the best video card in the world (they lied it at the time was the fastest but by no means the best).

FSDS would not work with the 8800 GTX under Windows XP so i had to go to Vista to get it working again as i knew another FSDS3 user that found Vista had a driver that worked.

It was not by choice at all but now i am used to it i prefer Vista or at least find it works as well as XP for me.

Regards
Rick

rick i cant recall the colour of the sycamore, after 3 months in the jungle it could have been brilliant pink and i wouldnt have noticed i suspect it was jungle green as were our olive drills that were worn by all ranks at the time.green and brown was present as camouflage in the denison smock as worn by parachute troops, but certainly did not appear on the whirlwind s55 until much later.if you take that as your rule i dont think you will be far out.regards paddy.

It might be due out then, but it will be delayed for at least a year and not working properly for another year after that!!!!! :bandit:

rick
further to my recent reply i came across photographs of sycamores working with the australians and nz troops.the sycamore in the nz photo portrays a sycamore that is clearly marked "rescue" that would indicate they were not olive green, looking back in time that would make sense from the perspective of a downed aircraft crashing into trees 200 feet tall, camouflage would not be a good idea.regards paddy.

Rick,

This looks superb already! I like a model with a bit of character - bumpy bits and exhaust marks etc (before anyone else gets in first - perhaps a bit like Kate Moss eh!).

Cheers,
Chris
