However, listen to what daddy says and remember to back-up...
I did listen to daddy - installed them and noticed the file sizes were the same except for one or two so as you say, no hit on frames. Thanks for the tip!

However it is constantly changing from smoother to sharp...back and forth in a most irritation manner.
You guys seeing this?
Garry
Only had time for a couple of short flights and so far I have not noticed it changing from smooth to sharp constantly. I flew low and slow around 2500 feet altitude near Norfolk, Va and then around San Francisco Bay. Tommorow I will try around the UK and see if I find anything different. To me the water looks far more natural than with the default textures.
I suspect it will be very difficult to track down given all the variables involved in rendering textures in FS9.
I flew from Plymouth to Shoreham and did not notice anything unusual. Gary, have you tried swapping back the original OceanHeightField.bmp in the \Flight Simulator 9\Texture directory to see if that makes any difference? I think that controls the wave height but it is worth a try. I can't think of anything else it could be other than a graphics card issue of some combination of things contrlling texture rendering in fs9.cfg.
Anyway I hope you find the problem because I think these textures are really good - I used to get occasional flashing between green-blue tropical water and regular (if there is such a thing) water before I installed these textures - that problem now appears to have been eliminated.
