Water

Post by Filonian »

Can anyone please recommend a good set of water textures?

The ones I have round the UK look more than a tad tropical.

Funny you mention water Graham. I changed the originals a while ago and ended up with FS_Water (payware) that then got updated with Flight Environment (though to all intents.. the different sea/water textures are the same, being done by the same developer).

Problem for me is that I still see that rubbish texture popping up from time to time even though it was supposed to have been moved. I can fly from Jer to Gue (not the longest of flights) and suddenly.. the dark blue textures will go to be replaced by that torquoise set you've shown  No idea why the hell it happens (here's hoping someone out there knows)! :)

From what I recall, the is no change in the FPS, as it merely replaces the original tiles, with some improved ones. A change of colour doesn't change anything regarding to FPS.

However, listen to what daddy says and remember to back-up...
