Hi Guys,
I recently got back into modelling again after an 18 month layoff primarily to work on an airfield rehash for FSX along with Tony (Techy111). So far I have been reworking the runways and taxiways, aprons etc. and I have modelled a HAS and one static aircraft and I am now researching the next project but have hit a dead end as far as online research goes.
I have been looking for a 3-view drawing for the Shackleton AEW but there seems to be none available on the net and the only one I could find is this one for the MK3 version.....
http://richard.ferriere.free.fr/3vues/shackelton_3v.jpg
Does anyone one have a 3-view of the AEW that they would be willing to share?
As this will just be a low-poly static aircraft as part of the scenery I could probably get away with using the above and 'fudging' in the chin blister and tail wheel but it would be nicer (and easier ;-) ) to work from the correct drawings in the first place.
A virtual pint awaits anyone who can help! CHEERS

Re: Shackleton 3-view
Thanks for the leads guys. I searched flightsim.com and looked at every page of every hit but didn't come up with any 3-view for the AEW and the Spanish site I had already seen and while it does show the side view of the AEW it doesn't have the front and top views unfortunately.
I will keep looking, I am sure there must be something out there somewhere although my usual blueprint source sites are coming up empty. :-(

Sri Larry.. I didn't realise it was specifically the 3-view of a Shack AEW you wanted

Here you go, not very good I'm afraid, the originals are tiny. I didn't embed the images (they're 2mb each) so maybe right click and "Save target as..."
http://paul.slater.net/Slide006.bmp and http://paul.slater.net/Slide009.bmp They're from the Royal Air Force Yearbooks 1977 and 1979 so I expect MI5 to be kicking the door in at any moment.
Found this site (which has the spanish 3 views (chicken, egg, egg, chicken )) but is worth a look... http://users.bigpond.net.au/shackleton/ ....and this little oddity..... http://www.turbosquid.com/FullPreview/I ... /ID/315988

It's not a 'bird', it's an aeroplane or an aircraft

Re: Shackleton 3-view
Thanks Paul, I will be able to use those for sure!
I think I have enough views/photos to attempt the model now and I will post a screenie or two when I am done.

Don't ask, and I won't tell....
Okay, so it's a bit of a cobbled up 3-view, using the front profile of teh Gannet AEW.3 radome....
