Fairey Gannet

Post by Seaking »

Not being a modeler myself, I've had in my possession for quite some time now source files for
the Gannet in Gmax, along with plans and pictures all in one zip file. This is one aircraft I would
love to see in FSX so if anyone would like to have a look at the files with the hope of finishing
it please let me know and I'll be happy to send the file.

From the pictures it looks like the out model is just about complete and can be seen flying in
FS9.

On behalf of Rob

If anyone knows where we can get some sound track of the Gannet whine it would be appreciated.

Did a Google on this a while back & found a site that said Mike Hambly, (I used to know him back in the Blue Arrow Train Sim days), had uploaded a short sound file of a Gannet flyby at I think Flightsim.com. Sounds very 'unique', & look forwards to seeing pictures - don't think it will get up here - of XL500 (G-KAEW), when the rebuild is done - see http://www.thunder-and-lightnings.co.uk ... php?id=124

I can fly now with my fantastic new PC

Bob, SK --

Rob has promised to post some screenies of the WIP over at the Pond (in the back sorry) If he says yes Ill put them up in the Gallery over there.......he has been blessed with a HUGE amount of information from various sources including access to the real thing - so his second outing should be another winner - so much so we have already begged him to release an Fs9 version as well --

Leif..

If Rob has anything missing (that's not too intrusive).. give us a shout and I may have the odd shot on another pc. I took gallons of shots of the Woodley example some years ago but that project never came to fruition. I have a 'little' Gannet info to hand ;)

Hi Dave,
Thank you very much for the offer.
I have pictures of every paint scheme ever applied but very few good shots of the cockpits! anything at all in that area would be most appreciated.

Kind Regards
Rob Richardson
