Very nice work that man. :excited:
I'm overjoyed to fly it and the details are beter than any payware model I've found. Compliments :welldone:

Yes there will be.

Sean

There will be another version out ASAP with enhanced features, just as soon as I overcome a mini RW crisis :hide:

Hi Garry,

This looks fantastic. I really like the gear :)
I was just thinking what you are doing regarding sound. I assume the Vanguard´s RR Tyne´s can be used for the Canadair. But what about the Bristol Proteus of the Britannia?
I would guess that such engine recordings are rare nowadays *-)

Very best regards,
Anders

Hi Anders :hello:

Thanks for that :)

If you've downloaded it you should have the sound pack by Fraser *-)

The sounds are different to the Vanguard due to the lack of the compressors giving the Vanguard a distinct whine especially on the ground

Also the CL-44 and Britannia used 16 foot props against the Vanguards 14.5 feet so the sound was noticeably deeper :tunes:

There is still one to be made for the Britannia, a type I've never heard in real life. :((

Thank you for the explanation, Garry.

I haven´t downloaded it yet - have I overlooked it here?

By the way, I just bought the dvd "Independant Airlines from the 50-80´es" from Avion. There are a couple of Britannia´s and Yukon´s as well (I think).
The footage is accompanied by some engine sound - but mayby it is not real Proteus sound?

And oh yes, I just love that whine of the Vanguard :) To bad 99% of all airliners today is 737 NG (with CFM56?) :(

Best regards
Anders

Hi Anders

It's in the New Releases Members only thread :)

Problem with many sound recordings are that they might not be genuine (dubbed) or if they are, they may not be realistic

Like older colour pics where the colours come out wrong, sounds behave in the same way in the pre digital era.

Sadly we lost Leif :'( , probably the best person to know the sounds as he worked with Britannias and CL-44 for many years

Wow, this is a fantastic piece of art!
I haven´t flown it yet, just installed it and browsed through the panels and manuals.
Really looking forward to spend some time with it.

Congratulations!

BR,
Anders

I've allways been excited by the CL-44 since I used to watch the Transmeridian ones come and go from Stansted. I was lucky enough to get a flightdeck ride in G-AZIN on a training flight in about '78 or '79 ish, so I can't wait for the full release.
I've been test flying PR1 for a week or two now and it's almost perfect as far as I am concerned. Brilliant work by all involved, as allways.

Keep up the good work chaps,

MG
