SDK in FSX Help please

Post by Airspeed »

I am having trouble making models for direct use in FSX.
Before I go into any further detail, would any successful FSX modellers please check the Modelling section of their SDK to see if it is EXACTLY the same as mine, as to files and their sizes?
I tried doing a reinstal but it kept asking for the "disk/next disk," so I'm presently stuck with what you see below:

Mike,

which version of the SDK are you using? Like FSX itself there are several versions, but you must start with the original and then update to get to the last. Its no big task as they only take a minute or so to install. :)

I should have also mentioned, if you have FSX Gold, or acceleration the updated SDKs are on the Acceleration disk. If its FSX standard, have you installed the service packs?

Just looked at mine, & the file structure is totally different, & the dates on my files are about a year newer than yours. Mines the Acceleration SDK.

Thanks Gents,
I tried running the instal from Acceleration. It say Preparing to install, then the DVD rattles a lot in its holder, but does nothing.
I think the original came on my FSX Deluxe Edition DVD, but it does much the same as the Acceleration DVD.
Can't tell what version it is so far-nothing in properties, and I can't look at "about"
Sorry, but it's been a :wall: day and is now 12:40am NYE, better go to bed.
