AI Ship tracks

Post by DaveB »

Hello 'learn-ed' viewers :)

A simple question for you regarding AI ship tracks.

Is it possible to take an already made ship track and change it by either adding or removing bits.. KML files I'm talking about here?? *-)

Answering myself..

I think the answer to my question is no.. at least to one part of the question. Having looked at a particular track in GE, I can't see any tools for editing.. just adding which in itself, could be very useful :cpu:

Hi Dave,

Yes you can, you need to zoom right into the line and click on it and you can then see all of the waypoints on the line. Clicking on the point should allow you to move it ;)

Cheers Ben :) Can you actually delete sections (say.. at the beginning or end though one becomes the other in most cases anyway)?

Yep. if you click on the beginning or end point (or any point - they are usually little red dots) you can just delete them.

Dave,

My mistake. Under places on the left hand side you should see the KML file that you opened. as per the arrow in the picture below. Right click on it and select properties and an annoying window pops up. Move it out of the way and you'll see all of the red dots (circled)

Hi Folks

Dave -
If editing a copy of an existing traffic file,
and changing the origin or destination,
you'll probably need to change whichever's matching Terminal ID.
