Currently in the paint shop, then onto the upholstery dept.
Only survivor of 5 made, & currently cohabiting with the Dragonfly (& some others) at Biggin Hill.

Very nice indeed. Those wire-spoked wheels must have taken some doing, Keith

Spokes...yes I thought they would be difficult, but with mirroring & copying over a photo of similar spoked wheels I think it took about 30 mins to make!!! The biggest problem was to reduce the number of polys & animations elsewhere in the model in order to keep them!

Hi Keith :hello:
Neat little machine, amusing incongruity of the faired-in spinner and nose, with great chunks of cylinder head poking out all round.
An area I have NOT mastered (one of thousands, tbh)...
is painting details on a transparent background.
Your spokes look great; could they be done by making a disc painted fully transparent, with spokes painted over that clear background?
This would decimate the number of polys.
I've wanted to do it on a number of projects, but failed every time, so I can't give a definite answer.

I did an experiment with spokes painted on a 10% transparent material within Gmax, but it didn't look very good & I think it didn't work terribly well as one needs another layer to cover for the blurred wheel effect.
The other problem is that those wheels have a double set of spokes & I think if one does the transparent bit mirrored in textures you would only see one side.
