Interesting conversion to P3D! - I don't have it - too much computing power required in my head!
Anyway I've had a greasy pole day, had it spinning just right then for some reason its gone pear shaped. I think unfortunately that the zero point is not where I thought it should be - I think it should be between the two wings at the intercepted 25% chord. Looking at the model in ACM its located on the top wing 25%, on the horiz datum of the fuselage, So I am trying to transpose the dimensions. Had this same problem with Nigel Richards Avro 621 which wouldn't spin until it was adjusted! I think one also needs to increase the chord to the imaginary two times?
Should have a bit of time tomorrow before going out to lunch to have a little play, otherwise the saga will continue. Engine power & speeds still OK though.
Have a Very Merry Christmas one & all.
Keith

Keith - If it performs OK without the spinning feature then why not send me those files. Afterall, spinning isn't necessarily a 'must-have' feature. :worried:
Dave - If you do decide to convert the whole aircraft, be aware that there a few custom animations like the Oil Cooler knob; I made a few special XML parts names for some where they didn't exist in the 'makemdlparts.xml list.
Cheers

I am very much looking forward to this one, especially when the P3D4 conversion is done.

:agree: Me too. Two Santas called Dave. Who knew!
It's not a 'bird', it's an aeroplane or an aircraft

Roger that Dave. I may need your original XML animation code to convert to FSX.
I had a quick test covering the materials to P3d PBR ones and initial results looked promising.

Yipee !!
Thanks Keith :agree: - your latest aircraft.cfg & aircraft.air files have cracked it. She now flies to the numbers. I've also tested the aircraft in FSX-SP2 and apart from a minor problem with the reflector gunsight glass, all is well, especially the flying bit.
That's nearly it then folks. I've just got a couple of minor cosmetics tweaks to correct and I'll then release the Gladiators onto the unsuspecting world. in the next couple of days :excited:
Cheers

PS. Dave, there are 9 custom coded gauges on the aircraft. :$
