Gauge Designers...

Post by migeater0 »

Can anyone out there design a gauge for me?

I've tried altering a current gauge with no success. I'm after a gauge that will allow me to release a smoke or light effect for a given period (0.5 -> 1 second bursts). Any idea?

Think they're a bit thin on the ground... apart from the "greats", DM, RP, DG etc, Saverrio Maurri was the panel guru, he had disappeared for a long while but was supposed to be back soon, so hold your breath just a little while longer.

The difficulty is beyond the graphics, you need to know either C++ or XML I believe. Havent tried it myself but I think there used to be a guage utility by a guy called Chuck Dome. That probably now belongs to the FS dark ages (FS98) though

Its worth mentioning that Fraser McKay has done loads of gauge work and is responsible for the 748 gauges which are fantastic. He has also done the vanguard and viscount panels to name but a few. I know he's very busy at the moment, but he may be able to help out, and other than those already mentioned is our current gauge specialist.
