Now this is weird

Post by Stewart Pearson »

Started up the flightsim this morning and shortly into the load up the following message appeared;

"esellerateengine not found"

Tried searching PC, can find no mention of esellerate anywhere. Sim loaded up after I acknowledged the warning message.

Anyone have a clue what it is and more importantly how I can get rid of the damn message?

Cheers

Stewart :dunno:

Stewart,
If you run a Google search, I think you will find that it is spyware.

Suggest you install and run Spybot S&D, and Ad-Aware............both freeware, and will remove most tracking devices.

Hi guys,

Well I have run three different spyware removers and I still get that flaming message on start-up. I have been back and forward through the Fs9 folders and done a search of my system and I am bu**ered if I can find where it's hiding.

I've emailed esellerate and asked their advice, but would welcome any more suggestions you have.

Thanks

Stewart

Sounds like it is being called as part of the FS9 load. Have a look in the .ini files and see of there is any record of it.

Just a thought.

Hi Ben,

That sounds like what I am looking for. I assumed the .ini files would be in the same locastion as the FS9 cfg, obviously not.

Can you advise as to where I should be searching?

Sorry for nuisance.

Stewart

Stewart,

Have you put any new payware on recently?

Well, they don't use Esellerate, so that shot that theory down!
