A He She :lol: but its true what he she said it could open the games but with its old Pals the Red arrows. Just been looking at info about the vulcan and it says its powered by 4x Rolls Royce Olympus engine am I right thats the same engines as Concorde? :think:

Hi James...

Basicly yes, but without the reheat. 558 uses 201 series which is slightly less rated that the 301 engined vulcans than flew Black Buck. :)

Brilliant WELL DONE, the locals here were wetting themselves when the A380 visited Manila god knows what would have happened if the Vulcan came.

Probably my favourite after the Spitfire, I have always loved the Vulcan ever since I first spotted her in my 1958 edition of "The Observer's Book of Aircraft" Today I saw her fly for the very first time, and it was a thrill even if it was not in person but via the BBC's internet feed.

I seem to remember a "Bristol" Olympus engine is this one and the same as the Rolls Royce Olympus Bristol was into Greek names while Rolls were river names on jet engines
