Name that plane...
....or at least the parts!
I updated my Google Earth program the other day as it was way out of date and I needed a screen grab to use as a background for the total re-work I have been doing to my nearest 'city' airport in FSX (it was pathetic in FSX but looks MUCH better now! )
While zooming in on details to try and get the best shaped generic buildings to place in game (I can only place generic/stock library buildings with the two software apps I am currently using) I noticed the items in the photo below (above the large hangar in the middle of the shot).
Now I obviously know what the wings came off (and the story behind them) and possibly Dave 'Cap't. Pugwash' may know too but I thought I would throw it up here for all the rivet counters (joking ) to see if anyone can identify which bird the wings came from. I'll give you a hint, it is a British design and has a bit of history behind it. ;-)
I will let you ponder over it for a while and then give you the answer tomorrow.

Re: Name that plane...
I thought Toronto (Victory Aircraft) or Hamilton (museum) were the most likely but they don't check out :-(

Outer wings of FM212 at Windsor. Funny how the shot make them look green and green/grey.
