Nice Merlin

Post by J0hn »

Seems I'm not supposed to put this kind of thing in the gallery (are there any pics in there? - I didn't find any!).

I think it looks grrrreat :)

I'll be on the lookout for any repaints of this type on the usuals.

Yep, you're right, that's not a Merlin! The Aussies fly the NH-90, which is a smaller helo than the Merlin; roughly half way between the Merlin and the UH-60 I would say - still a nice scheme though! :agree:

Give away being 4 rotor blades, angled side body, lack of two left side engine intakes... B-) But still nice scheme and missing from FSX :worried:

So apart from being smaller and having a different fuse and rotor, they're pretty much the same

Like the others I think it's a smart looking machine whatever it is and would look well in the sim.

Thanks for posting J0hn

I think it's actually an NH90? (might be wrong)

And there is one for the sim (I think it works in FSX deffo FS2004) by AB Simulations, released via the New Zealand Airforce site.

Something very like that paint scheme is here... http://www.flightsim.com/zview.php?cm=v ... .jpg&idx=8

Do a search at all nodes for nh90pro2.zip

Kind regards

Thanks for the info, chaps :)

I thought it was just a special version of the Merlin with those differences (didn't spot them all, mind), like maybe a spec-ops version or something.

Well now I will know better - and thanks for those links, John.
