Hello Mate :hello:

Singapore isn't a bad guess.. it's Hong Kong (or what little of it you can see) ;) Yup.. the baby Chinook is a CH46 (I think) Sea Knight ;) Interestingly, there were a couple of Phantoms off Ark Royal on Connies flight deck. Our boys must have thought it was like landing at Heathrow  The air display our American cousins put on really was a blinder. The highlight for me was a very fast, very low flypast by a Vigilante. I've no idea what speed he was doing but we saw him in the distance.. we watched as he went past (silent) then there was an almighty bang. Very, very impressive

I did think it might be HK but then I thought it was one of those where everyone would say HK but it really Singapore

Ah yes CH-46 that's the one.....the Airfix kit in Swedish markings was a favourite of my brother and I always associate the type with that

The Vigilante must've been quite a sight :-O

They'd probably not be allowed to do that nowadays purely on environmental grounds..might frighten the fish 8)

I think the fish had already had enough mate. Can't remember now which way round the firing went but one aircraft went past and dropped flares on parachutes then legged it. In came the Phantom and shot the shite out of the flares with cannon fire.. it went round again and let go with multiple rockets, the result of which you see in that shot :-O None of your pyrotechnics matey.. real stuff ;) Re the Vigilante.. it was probably over a mile past us when we heard the huge bang. Awesome dude  We all stood there waiting to hold our ears and nothing.. there it was gone.. completely silent. Then BANG.. adrenalin everywhere

Yep, simpler times. Washing lines only went in one direction back then. ;)

That's a great pic Paul. :) I can see what you mean about Big Sister trouble. Looks like she was plotting her next Little Brother torment as the pic was taken. ;) She's the spittin' image of your lovely Mother. :) Thanks for sharing the pic.
