Leif Harding

Post by DaveB »

Hi chaps..

It is with a great deal of shock and sadness I tell you that Leif Harding, aka dispatchdragon, has passed away suddenly. We don't know the circumstances of his death or exactly when it was but it happened over the last couple of days. Toby found out by accident via Facebook and on behalf of all here, I thank him for bringing this sad news to our attention.

He helped us a lot over the years with various projects and became the public face of Classic British Files.. now Britsim. He'll be missed here and I'm sure over at Britsim.

Our thoughts and sincere condolences to his wife and young son who he leaves behind.

RIP Leif

Leif was a good man and someone I was proud to call a friend.

He was passionate and proud of everything he did, everything he believed in and loved his family, his wife and son so much.

He offered this hobby so much for so long.

I'm truly gutted and can't think of the words to express it.

Bye mate, I'll miss you.

Rob.

What tragic news. As Rob said, a man who was passionate about aviation and his family. May he rest in peace. Thoughts and Prayers to his family and friends. :(

I'm just trying to get my head around this :'(

I was in daily contact until two days a go and I'm really shocked

Leif has been a tremendous help to me....he has done so much to research and support behind the scenes driven with a passion for the hobby

Rest in peace Leif.......My thought are very much with Stace and TAG

The facts are there...but is doesn't seem possible

A very sad day. In all my dealings with Leif he was never anything less than a true gentleman, patiently answering even my most stupid question.

My thoughts are with his wife and family, and with Rob and all of you guys at the Pond who worked so closely with him. He will be sorely missed.

To say I'm stunned at this news would be a major understatement. :-O

My condolences to the family.

Stunned, on the odd occasion we made contact he was always very welcoming and very helpful. My thoughts and prayers and with him and his family. God Bless.
