I've worked inside one of Gatwicks terminals and I thought it was small, crowded and dated. I don't know anything about the rest of the airport.
I've worked at Luton and I think it has a poor layout in terms of the space available. The access to it isn't all that great either.
I've also worked at Stansted which has a nice spacious terminal but it's a trek to get to the gates, the tax free shops are crap and security can't cope with the amount of pax.
Heathrow and London City I have no experience of, but I understand once you've landed at LCY, you can be outside the airport within 10 minutes.

Apart from City airport (never been) and Stansted (OKish), they are a complete disgrace! Dirty, shabby, overcrowded and unless you want a burger or an expensive coffee, forget it!!!!!!
When you see some of the airports of our "lesser" European neighbours, the BAA board should be taken out and shot
So no vote at all! Oh, and you can't see anything outside to help kill the time!

Morning people,
From a purely FS point of view I would have to say heathrow, as it is the London airport from where most of my Virtual flights in DM's jet fleet comence.
Real world I would also have to go for LHR as I only live two minutes walk from the T1,2,3 entrance and the visitors centre.
My opinion may change however if they decide to knock down all the houses in this area and build another Runway.

I have to fly far too often from Stanstead, which I think is a total dump!
Given the choice of any UK arport, I'll always choose Birmingham (voted the ninth best business airport in the world. The next UK airport was Heathrow, which was 27th!).
