Is it possible his legs were too short, or was his seat too far forward?

This was really the end result of a long trip down a very thin wedge. Inevitably, (in hindsight), something was going to happen and I have great sympathy for the poor guy who was only doing what so many do, but he suffered the wake up call.

I wonder what the outcome would have been with one of the very inexperienced crews flying for some more budget airlines.

This has to be looked at as an industry wide event, it is not an RAF thing.

Fortunately the crew were highly skilled and as such may well have been responsible for saving lives, as, it not this time, then when it did happen it could have been so much worse.

Rarely in aviation does such a strong message get presented in an incident brought under control.

The Captain is human and many of us, if we had been there, would have been doing much the same.
