I wonder how affordable it would be :dunno:

But that led to an interesting article and 5 min interview with the art critic and recently departed Brian Sewell. http://www.bbc.com/news/entertainment-arts-34304203 What a character. Britain doesn't seem to produce his type anymore.

Without approval and support from a design authority (which has consistently been refused ever since she was last flown) this project, like all Concorde to the sky projects since that fateful day, is doomed to be a complete waste of money.

I doubt whether the CAA would grant a license for Concorde to fly again in this country, apart from that, the costs would be enormous let alone maintenance.

But we can always keep on dreaming!! 8)

There has been a press release from the Le Bourget museum stating that their Concorde is definitively NOT for sale, they consider it just as much a piece of French history as the Mona Lisa. I don't see that leaving the country either.

Actually, the part where they plan to have a Concorde on display in the center of London is a good one, a shame they got overenthusiastic and unrealistic...
Due to shortages and cutbacks the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.

I think that displaying Concorde in the city is a great idea: interest in the aircraft transcends interest in aviation generally: not everyone who might want to see the aircraft would be willing to make a journey out to one of the aviation museums to see it.

well .. upon further review, I guess since Pepsi got to put their name on it ,,,, why shouldn't Red Bull get theirs on it...

But if they did... I'd call it just -- plane Bull!
sentence commuted ... and a full pardon given...
