Well, I heard that Old King Cole was a merry old soul.
We need more leaders like that.
How about we change the topic to religion, something we can all agree on?

And hey, how about the protesters burning cars , destroying private and public property because their candidate didn't win.

.....

But I'll end this on a good note.

Winston Churchill's bust is once again in Oval Office
Donald Trump personally asked for permission from England to return the bust of Churchill.

Thank You and good day.
Joe, I agree with these parts of your statement, as for the rest I am going to keep my mouth shut as this is not really the site for political debate especially from our side of the pond.

I actually went with my lady to what was billed as the "Oakland Women's March", but people of all genders, races and ages were present, everyone there friendly and peaceful, no windows broken, no cars damaged, no torches or pitchforks, just people standing up for what they believe. Personally I think peaceful protest is one of the most patriotic things you can do, next to voting.
Joe Cusick,

Certainly agree about the violent protests and restoring Churchill's bust to the oval office which, btw, never left the White House. It was moved from the oval office to the residence portion of the White House. The over-comb king certainly did not need "England's permission" to return it to his office! Incidentally, D.C. police report NO arrests on the day of the women's march. My daughter attended and was impressed by the size of the crowd and how peacefully everyone behaved.

Joe, you obviously watch far too much Hannity and Faux Views "We distort, you report." All politicians lie, but I have never seen a President tell such obvious lies that can easily be proven as lies on his first full day in office and then send out his press secretary to attack the media and free speech.

Let's just leave it there and agree to disagree.

Joe
What do they believe?
They certainly seem confused ..my meaning is
One of women's big initiatives it not to be viewed as sex objects
But they use Madonna and Lady Gaga who are in fact sex idols. Women who use their bodies to sell their wares

Nigel.
Over-comb King? How old are you? Six.?
And lies? That's perception..
Obama's if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor was a false claim ... And he knew it before he said it.
:dunno:
And ,.. i don't have paid tv.
So that shoots down your narrative
:)

In closing
Many other points i made were agreeable points.
The fact you refused to mention anyof them except two
Speaks volumes.

I used to like this forum a lot, always seems to be able to get things done with a smile and a little irony.
We all will always disagree about a lot of things but as long as we can put these aside and look at things we share, have in common...
the world (and this forum) would be a better place...

Hi Marijn,
You're not going to let one thread spoil it for you, I hope?

I did my irony at the weekend. Or was it ironing? It's late(ish) on Monday now so I can't remember but I seem to have a lot of shirts hanging up in the wardrobe!

Lies? I prefer KellyAnne Conway's designation "alternative facts"

:agree: Yea Joe, I am six! Just add a nine behind it. The over-comb comment was just me picking up on something I saw earlier in the post. I thought it was funny, Apologies if you did not. As far as not litigating all your points, I refuse to bore everyone here refuting little foxbot nonsense, even if you don't watch that channel.. That is all I am going to say on this subject. So far, I have refrained from commenting on the political drivel you sometimes post and I shall do so in the future. I would much rather discuss subjects closer to the purpose of this board, with the occasional joke thrown in, and I hope you want to do the same.
