Axalp Fliegerschiessen '17 photos

Post by TobyV »

Last week I went to the "live fire" exercise / airshow at Axalp in Switerzland. On the bus at 6.15am (unheard of for me!), it's about 4.25 hours train and bus to Axalp which lies at around 1535m (5036ft) ASL for the final 2.5hr hike up the last ~725m (2380ft) to the top of Tschingel where you watch the airshow. Unfortunately due to my rather poor fitness, I decided to take my old 70-300iS USM up rather than my 100-400LiS and hence the image quality is lower than I had wanted.

Beautiful pics Toby.

That one of the Para Glider and that contrail is great,

Thanks for sharing them,

Roger.
