Speedbird (71)

Post by Filonian »

Gave me quite a turn when I saw that I can tell you.

It would possibly be a bit incongruous to say Happy Birthday Ian, but I can say thank you for your company and the memories you left us all with. A true gent.

God Bless and keep you.

Graham

As you say Graham he was a real gent. We were planning to meet up when he did his hoped for rail trip up North but tragically his health was deteriorating rapidly so he never made it. During our online 'conversations' it transpired that he was a cabin crew member on a flight we took in 1991 on a BA 747-400 from Heathrow to Seattle via Vancouver. Greatly missed. :'( EricT

Sad indeed. Makes you think of all the others that we've lost from the FS world.

I still recall his postings documenting his decline and that final harrowing one particularly. Very sad.

Bit late to this; apologies Graham. Yes, we've lost some very good people over recent years, haven't we. Each of them added so much to this forum. RIP Ian, and all.
