I had the doubtful pleasure of reading, in full, the Dutch report into the crash of the Malaysian 777 which was shot down by Russians. One very interesting thing which did emerge from it , however, is that RR send a report to the airline on each engine in real time at the top of the climb, detailing its performance on take off and in the climb , for every single flight. The attention to detail these days is quite astonishing
