Wild weather in Florida.

Joe should be fine. He lives on the eastern side of Florida. Probably a good 200+ miles away the hurricane. :)

The hurricane hit the panhandle of Florida. i have a niece that lives in Panama City, about 20 miles West of where the eye made landfall at Mexico Beach. She went to a shelter during the storm and is OK, but has yet to return home to see if she even has a home left. Lots of destruction, flooding, trees and power lines down - the usual aftermath of a major storm.

Pictures we have seen on TV over here in Florida (we're in Orlando at House of Mouse) show almost total devastation to the coastal area, Tyndall AFB pretty much has no undamaged buildings, and some F-35 written off.

Hope your niece is ok.

Update. Thanks Pete. My niece is fine but her home is uninhabitable as trees fell on the house into the dining room and a bedroom.. One car is also a total loss, crushed by another tree. She is with in-laws somewhere several miles east of Panama City (don't remember the name of the town) but even there, they are without power.

According to his profile, Joe was last active on here at 2.03am (whatever time I set it to for me, could be CET) on Saturday (13th).
